Amateur communications
The internet was designed with a decentralized point-to-point network structure in mind and unfortunately this seems to have been lost over the
last few decades. On the surface there is only one actual survivor: e-mail.
Yet, in reality, a few service providers host the many of all active e-mail domains.
I think we need an 'amateur internet' following the non-commercial principle of amateur radio. This would enable the restoration of much that we have lost and maybe help revive a few protocols in the process.
